PC: Dell Latitude 233MHz, Intell, 64Mb, laptop.
I've ran WindowsXP pro on this PC, but obviously it ran very slow.
Wanted to try Linux, and selected Xubuntu.
Installation took about 14 hrs. (It was stuck at 1% then 6% during the language installation. I've read others have experience problems during this same time frame.)
Eventually I get a "RSOD" informing me the installation failed: Build LTSP chroot. I've also read that others have had this problem. Unfortunately all the resolutions I read use Xterm. I'm brand new to Linux, and since I've yet to complete an install, I don't know if I can open up a terminal yet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you used the Alternate Xubuntu CD.

If so; burn a new CD after doing md5sum and at 4x or less on CD-R

I did use the alternative version. I was unable to run the md5sum program. (I downloaded a couple of programs designed to do the check sum but running them was intuitive to me so I gave up and just assumed the download was correct.)
I also created the disk at a higher speed. I will try to create the CD at 4x and see if that solves the problem.
Thanks for you comments.
