./configure missing getopt?

Hi,

I've been running into problems when I try to install some binaries.

Whenever I enter ./configure, I get the error :
checking for getopt... no
configure: error: getopt is missing but required.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled util-linux and i've copied getopt into /usr/bin and run sudo dpkg --configure -a.

Yet I still have this issue. Any ideas?

sorry to say i have the same problem :( Im trying to install a screensaver. If i find the fix ill let you know :)
