I recently purchased all the components to build my PC, that are as follows:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz LGA 775
Video: evga 9600gt rt
MoBo: Desktop, Media Series, DP35DP
Hard Drives: 750gb Samsung S-ATA HD
250gb Seagate S-ATA HD

I downloaded Ubuntu 8.04 desktop i386 a few days ago on the recommendation of my brother and his friends. Burned it to a CD and tried to install. The CD boots up, has me choose a language. The options laid out are "run ubuntu with no changes to the comp." "install ubuntu" "test memory" "boot from first hard disk". and then F options: F4 select alternate boot method, F1 help, the others didn't appear to be for my particular purposes. I hit the install button and then it says "linux is free software..."
"Then to access official Ubuntu documentation..."
And then is says:

To run a command as administrator (user "root"), use "sudo <command>". See "man sudo_root" for details.
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$

I am lost as to what to do. Hardware issue? Anything, thanks.
