I have tried and tried to get the sound working again after the last download of system/security updates. I want to completely reinstall Hardy, but how do I achieve this as it just boots into Hardy and I cannot use the 'live CD' option.
I have tried to delete the main partition using G-Parted by all is greyed out with padlocks on every partition.
I assume I will need to format the HDD but I gather I must safeguard the Grub bootloader.
Help please - before I ruin everything!
