Help me with GParted--please.

I have GParted installed with Ubuntu Hardy, so I can launch it System/Administration/Partition Editor.
As I can't install Bea-Platform because of lack of place in ubuntu partition I want to extend it.
Can I used the GParted installed ? if so ple<se help with a small how to.

To work on partitions they need to be unmounted so I would suggest either using the ubuntu live cd and use Partition Editor or download and use gparted live cd (http://gparted.sourceforge.net/)
Once you have started gparted use the resize tool to make extra space.
If you need help resizing post a screen shot from gparted.
