FOSS barcode fonts

I'm noticing that the 'buntus seem to be missing a FOSS-licensed barcode font. Can anyone point in the direction of either or both of the following?

1) a suitably licensed barcode font
or
2) a tool to create the above on kubuntu/xubuntu/etc.
