After updating Hardy with Update Manager, the Change Desktop Background function does not work.
When I click a new background the image blinks, but nothing happens.

Anyone know what's going on and how to fix.

Thanks:confused:

See this one:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+source/nautilus/+bug/236778

I'm experiencing the same as you, using the arrow keys on my laptop still works to select a new wallpaper. (I use this as a temporary workaround)

See my thread on this.
To fix it, simply enable the "Proposed" update repos from the updates tab of the Sources options and install all the updates.

Thanks damis648 (http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=483308), worked like a charme. All back to normal. There were 96 updates.
After the reboot, I unchecked the 'proposed' section again.
