How do I add dictionaries to my system and enable them for different apps? My system is setup with English as default. But I would like to be able to sett Norwegian as default for some Evolution and Open office.

Edit:

Was a bit fast there. Browsing synaptic gave me the hint of aspell-no :) Which gave me Norwegian as default option in evolution. Open office's writer still opens with English(USA) as default so I have to manually set Norwegian. How do I set Norwegian as default in Writer?

You need to deal with LocaleConf.

Here's one way....https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LocaleConf

This shows how to alter Open Office language settings
