Since I've updated to hardy, I have had major issues when I use the scrollbar. This problem occurs in firefox, code::blocks, and other programs. What happens is that the scrolling is very choppy. I was looking through the threads and noticed the program, htop, so I decided to run a little test. Here are a few pictures:

Is this normal and/or expected? For the record, I use an nVidia geforce fx 5200, with dual monitors.

Goto Edit->Preferences->Advanced
And check whether Smooth scrolling is disabled or not.. If not, disable smooth scrolling.

Smooth scrolling was disabled, so this didn't really solve the problem. Thanks anyways.

Install proper drivers for your graphics card.

I was pretty sure I had done that already, but I decided to (re)install them via envy. However, this did not fix the problem. Any other suggestions?

EDIT: I just disabled dual monitors, and it fixed the problem completely. Now I just have to figure out how to enable dual monitors, but eliminate the problems.

Your graphics card is pretty old. It's probably just struggling to handle both monitors at once. Maybe try cranking the resolution down a bit.
