after upgrade th hardy harron my screen runs slow

after i upgraded my screen lurks when i scroll, type or move the windows. its basically running like i have an underpowerd computer. but when i was running gutsy gibbon it ran fine.

i would reinstall GG, but the start up time is much faster with HH.

any suggestions?
