We've recently just acquired Dapper Drake, and I'm a complete newbie to Linux. I'd much appreciate any help I could get!

I've been trying to upgrade to Hardy Heron for about two days now, but I always seem to encounter a few problems. I've been to loads of various sites already, yet it still doesn't seem to work.

Right now, the message is:

Error during update

A problem occurred during the update. This is usually some sort of network problem, please check your network connection and retry.

Download Hardy fresh from internet and burn it on a clean CD. Then install it from CD. You won't face any problem. It seems data required for the installation is corrupted.
