After todays (maybe yesterdays, not sure) update none of my f-spot plugins worked anymore and they all just needed un-installing and re-installing.

Seems a bit silly to me, but there ya go... maybe somebody else will find the info useful

You should remember to not click the update-button without actually checking what's going to be updated, and search for info on these to be updated packages. This way you learn about your system, and so you know how to handle the inevitable breakage after an update.
Never trust your operating system. ;-)
