Hi all,

I'm trying to compile OpenFOAM-1.4.1-dev on Ubuntu 8.04 and it seems that most OF forum posts believe that my problems will be solved if I upgrade flex++. However, ubuntu says that flex-2.5.34 is the current version in ubuntu 8.04...which is correct for Hardy. However, I need to manually install flex-8.5.35. I am new to building from source files so any help would have to start completely from the beginning. This would have to include where flex lives on my computer. Thanks for your help and I know others would benefit from this help.

Cheers

Hey, I ran into the same problem while trying to install warzone 2100, I went to http://flex.sourceforge.net/ and downloaded flex-2.5.35.tar.bz2 and the error I was getting regarding the version of flex went away.
