View Full Version : [ubuntu] installation freezes while "starting bluetooth"

June 4th, 2008, 01:06 PM

I'm new to ubuntu but I'm excited to try it. My only problem is that I can't insatll it becaues the installer always freezes while "starting bluetooth" I know this is a common problem and people have written about it but they have always managed to install ubuntu properly and afterwards could boot in recovery mode. I can't do that because I'm still in the installation process!

So my question is how can I prevent the ubuntu installer to try to avtivate the bluetooth device???

I mean the problem is pretty absurd because I don't even have any bluetooth :-)

please please help me because I would love to switch from xp to ubuntu but so far I can't!

When you get to the part where it stops are you able to switch to a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+F2)
