Fresh start with Hardy

I used Ubuntu for a while, but then switched back to XP. Now I'm going back to Ubuntu, but want a fresh start. None of my previous programs or settings. How would I do this? Just uninstall Ubuntu before installing Hardy? (Downloading Hardy's ISO at the moment) How do you uninstall Ubuntu?

Just format the partition with Hardy on it when installing.
