Font size on login window

Dear All,

I have a very strange problem on my ubuntu, the font size on the login window is very very big around 300px, but when i enter username and password every thing inside is become fine, i face this problem with 7.10 version, when 8.04 released i formated my laptop and install new ubuntu version but the same problem, realy i don't know how can i fix it, my laptop is HP Compaq nx7400 wide screen

please advise me how can i solve this problem

I have this problem too!
Fresh install does this every time for me, yet my laptop which was dist-upgraded from Gutsy is not effected.
If anyone knows which file to edit the font size would also be grateful for the heads up.

I got problem too!
Doesn't matter if gutsy or hardy, both installations had the same problem. Solved it temp. by autologin.

Didn't get the problem on another (old) laptop.

Does anyone know how to fix it?
