Questions with backing up the home folder.

I'm trying to reinstall my ubuntu 7.10 because I want to get my wireless card to work (don't ask lol) and I have a few questions.

1) If I back up my home folder will it back up the changes make to the desktop and everything?
2) Will It copy the drivers installed as well?

No.... The Home folder doesnt have all the details of your desktop config , etc.

2nd .. also No... :)

The reason is... every common apps...(that is all apps.. which are meant for all users..) are maintained in the filesystem..(/)
