Hi guys!
I am having a problem with my gnome desktop (Ubuntu 7.10) .
Nautilus only opens for less than a second and closes! I can't see the contents of my desktop (background appears), and can't even right click on the desktop. having kubuntu, I uninstalled. gnome, and reinstalled everything again but still the same problem. Everything works fine on kubuntu. Please help me know what's the problem

Thanks

You could try to open nautilus from a terminal. Maybe it tells you what the problem is then.

You could also try to delete your .nautilus folder in your home directory and see if it helps.
