I really want to install looking glass on my laptop. I use both 32 and 64 bit ubuntu/kubuntu on seperate partitions. the question is, how do i install the desktop enviroment. I can't figure it out from the sun java site. Any help is very apreciated.

You should be able to download it from here: https://lg3d-core.dev.java.net/binary-builds.html

Just download the Feisty/Gutsy/(Hardy?) version, it will probably work with hardy aswell. I think that this is some developer preview version, so you shouldn't expect it to run perfect. Note that you also have to install the package sun-java6-jdk.

It's not fully working. You can see all the eyecandy, though. I don't believe it will ever be a viable choice for a DM because it hogs the system sources.
