Ultimate Ubuntu (http://ultimateedition.info/)

Has anyone ever tried this? Thread originally came from the Philippine user forums..thought I might post it here and get more info...

looks like I might try it just for the pre installed games. :lolflag:

While prior upgrades could be done through the repositories, from visiting the website a few days ago in an attempt to help someone else, I cam to the conclusion that the latest release needed to be downloaded and installed from a burned DVD.

Is this Ultimate Ubuntu a product of Canonical ? If not, is it endorsed by them ?

Thanks.

I just installed Ultimate Edition 1.8. It seems quite good. Almost everything I wanted was already installed including Compiz, etc. I did very little configuring and adding of software, To me it seems quicker and slicker than Hardy. So far I am quite impressed with it.

Peace,

I can't burn DVDs and the Ultimate edition is in 1.4GB DVD copy!!
So, if I can download it through the repositories like we do for kubuntu etc..??

If not then, where can I find the Dark theme used in Ultimate edition?

Thanks
