Hi! I am a relatively new linux user, and I installed Kubuntu 7.10 in January...
I recently upgraded to Hardy heron (kubuntu 8.04) and then decided to try Ubuntu and the Gnome desktop. I liked it so much, I removed kde and just use Ubuntu.

The only problem is, when I use some applications that I used in KDE, the old Kde themes I used to have are still in use by those programs! I am using the Human Murrine theme in Ubuntu, but I want all my programs to look brown/orange, but some are all blue from my old KDE theme!

Does anyone have any help/suggetions for me?
Thank you!

That's great!

It would be helpful if you could describe your solution. These forums are a wealth of information, and frequently searched, so you might be able to help someone else out if they know what you did.

I have ubuntu 8.04, never used kde. I can still mange kde themes for kde programs by starting kde theme settings using

kcmshell kthememanager

I don't recall in which package it comes.

Thank you Vivaldi! That works much better than what I had tried to do...
