Haha no I'm interested to see what the default look of 8.10 is going to be like too, I think we've got a bit of waiting to do though.

it'd be good if they made more use of screenlets, like the window list screenlet, i think it looks real neat compared to the panel at the bottom.

I think widgets like screenlets are best left as options rather than as a default.

Yeah I'd rather have sceenlets and docks as optional extras. I've tried both but always return back to the simple two panel layout. I'm interested to see what the new GTK and metacity themes will be like though.
