i need a step by step help with installing yahoo messenger if its possible..if anybody can help i would really appreciate it..thank you

i need a step by step help with installing yahoo messenger if its possible..if anybody can help i would really appreciate it..thank youi'd suggest using pidgin(it is a multi protocol IM program)
post up if you would like to try that,maybe we can help get it going :)
last time i used the yahoo linux --it worked fine,but had limited features and pidgin has a lot of cool features that you may enjoy .

i'd suggest using pidgin(it is a multi protocol IM program)

when u say multi protocol i m program does that mean i can chat with people in yahoo or aim?if so i m interested if u can teach me step by step bcoz i m really new with ubuntu..lol

yes you can chat with AOLers and YAHOOers too :P
i believe pidgin is installed by default on ubuntu.
go
applications
internet
pidgin
and then in pidgin
under accounts
click add after you add then
click enabled
then click close :):popcorn:
