Hi,

I finally have ubuntu up and running but am interested in getting a good reference book that takes one from beginner to advanced.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
bikinguy

A lot of books you will find currently are for Ubuntu Dapper Drake (6.06 LTS).

However a lot of the underlying methods would be the same :) There's many, including the "Ubuntu Linux Bible" which all look quite good to me, though I've never read one properly

While not Ubuntu specific, the book Unix Power Tools is a classic and reads more like a long list of incredibly useful forum posts than a dense OS book.

Apress Beginning Ubuntu Linux From Novice to Professional Mar 2006

Any of O'reilly's book are quit good.
