How dare ye besmerch ubuntu by relating it to i-crap. And you're a student - you're meant to spend all your time reading slashdot in the back of lectures, not playing with ipods :lolflag:

Meh... go easy on the i-crap... at least it's Unix based i-crap. :D Actually they're pretty neat little gadgets... complete with multiple terminals (which you flip through by finger swipes), unix apps, and SSH. :D

Heck, I upgraded my desktop from 7.10 to 8.04 from outside on my iPod via ssh. :P

But yeah... I can only do all that 'cause it's hacked. ;)

Yes sir! Though the actual package is called Cydia... I have both apt-get and aptitude running from a terminal on my iPod... and then a graphical front-end for apt-get.

I think the repo is http://apptapp.saurik.com... just add that to the Installer.app's source list... and then look for Cydia.

The theme is a mod of HumanTouch by the looks of it.
Also, how well does VNC work?

no i was talkin about the theme

The theme can be downloaded through the modmyifone.com repository... I think it's included in the "community sources" package on the installer.app... (and the theme is called HumanTouch).

Also, how well does VNC work?

VNC (actually it's called VNsea on the iPod... I renamed it to be more Ubuntuesque') works pretty good, actually. It's got a little virtual keyboard built in, so you can do pretty much anything you want with it... it's a little slow to refresh, but that's to be expected. ;)
