Can this be done? How can I do it? I still want to get updates, I just don't want anyone to be seeing the notice about upgrading the distro from Gutsy to Hardy.
I originally posted this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=5072354) in Absolute Beginner Talk thinking it would get faster attention there, but another poster recommended I try here as well. I know that there is an option to disable the notice in Hardy, but that option does not exist in Gutsy. Is it a LTS only option? If it is, is there a way I can install it in Gutsy?
Anyone know this one? Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: mc4man gave me the solution in another thread!
In applications -> system tools -> configuration editor -> apps -> update manager you can turn off check dist. upgrade
If conf. editor isn't there enable thru edit menus
