I've had kernel updates in 6.10 result in unbootable systems. GRUB still presented the older kernel and it still booted. So I do system backups more often now and I don't do version upgrades, I install the new version on a new partition, a fresh install. Maybe it takes longer, depends on the issues the upgrade causes.

In your case does GRUB offer you options like perhaps an older kernel? GRUB is the boot menu.

I didn't open the thread but I have the same problem. And I can choose older kernel versions, which partially work. But everything that shows the new black boot screen doesn't work.

What can I do to find the source of this error?

Thanks in advance! This is my first problem with linux, so I am a bit helpless. :o(
