Firefox has been removed with new update??!!!

I did an update with firefox and now my firefox is gone completely as if I uninstalled it. Its now longer in my Applications>>>Internet program list. When I go to Add///Remove program list it says I cannot install firefox because it conflicts with firefox 3.0? Then when I go to synpatic package manager whenever I try to install firefox it say it has unresolved dependency errors. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH FIREFOX!!!

There are/were dependency issues which ahve apparently been sorted - so it will resolve itself and reappear
