Hi guys, again this is in regards to Wubi but I hope its similar to a 'official' install. I couldnt find my boot files for grub so I uninstalled the whole thing and I am waiting for the iso to finish downloading. The problem is that the space I set aside in the first install for ubuntu in the wubi installer is not 'free' space anymore to my hard drive. Can I get that space back without endangering the files that have already been downloaded?

You will use OS of your choice. But back to your question.I think that Ubuntu can delete that partition or format it as ext3 which will also delete what you have on it and will prepare system for install.Second option is to download Gparted live CD (http://gparted.sourceforge.net/) and do it with it.
