We recommend Dapper Drake 6.06 LTS for situations where Long Term Support is preferred, or Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 for the latest stable applications.

Hardy Heron 8.04 is the current development version. It is NOT stable yet, and will not be until late April 2008.
