My girlfriend is reevaluating her life goals, and something that she said she had a lot of interest in years ago was joining the Peace Corps. From the sounds of what she's told me, I wouldn't mind doing it myself. I mean, what's 2 years of a lifetime giving someone an education or providing for the needy with a skill of some kind for free, plus the fun of living somewhere else for a while. One of the things she's worried about is not being qualified enough, because she only has work experience as a restaurant manager, but no college education. What kind of education might be worthwhile for her, with the goal of going to another country to help people? I see myself as being fairly versatile because of my technical experience with computers in general; I wouldn't mind being a teacher. But she's sort of looking for attractive options and locations.
