View Full Version : [ubuntu] Menu bar won't stay put

I'm having a problem. I'm running a dock bar on my system, and am moving all my icons and such to that. This leaves the top menu bar in gnome pretty empty, so I want to "unexpand it" so it doesn't span the width of my screen (at 1680x1050, it leaves a lot of blank space up there).

Problem is, when I uncheck the "expand" option in the menu bar options, it shrinks, but when I reboot the bar has moved to the bottom of the screen, behind the dock bar, and the stuff on it is all out of order. I can move it back up and fix it all, but every reboot does this.

If I leave it expanded, no problems at all. It only goofs up when it's not expanded. All the icons and stuff on it are locked to panel.

Anybody know what's going on here? Thanks.

Nevermind I just found a way to delete it and migrated all my icons and such to the dock bar.

Thanks anyway
