Hi all
I already posted this in the Thinkpad Owners Thread but I'm a bit desperate since I'll be going to Korea tomorrow. I was wondering if my R61 needs a transformer/voltage converter. I know I need the adaptor plug but was hoping I wouldn't need a converter because the computer is from China/Asia and I was thinking the adaptor it comes with can handle it. Anybody know? Thanks in advance.

Electricity in South Korea is 220 Volts. you must look on your power supply and see if it is written it works with this voltage.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry if this is a dumb question but the adaptor says
Input: 100-240V~1.5A
Output: 20V
Does this mean its ok for Korea?

dont worry, that means it is a multi voltage and so it is ok.

But you may need either a different cable from the power brick to the wall or an adapter if Korea uses a different plug type than what you have.
