kde 4.1 windows is working...

Wanting build the new 4.1 (4.080 right now)i found a directory win32??
Curious I wget it and untar the whole lot.

I saw a dir bin with a lot of dll and exe so i copied this in my vista hd.
and surprise!!
Konqueror, kdegames, dolphin ktorrent worked!!
damn they' ve done it!!
So maibe it could be interesting to spread the word and to have some feed-back (do not forget it's a beta) but I was quite amazed by the speed...

Yes under windows!!! tried under vista/Xp.
Very sad to see it's easier to try kde under windows than to test it under our fav distrib....
Still no way to compile soprano so no kde4.1 under linux but dezip and clic it worked under windows....SADNESS !!

it'd be really nice if they ported over the entire kwin window manager as a complete shell replacement on windows.

I'm more of a gnome person, but i'd gladly use KDE on windows over the default shell

i hope some vendors start selling laptops with KDE4.2 both windows and linux version :)

1 familiar interface = easier migration

if it's so easier to download and use am sure KDE4 might surpass gnome in userbase (both win and lin)

it might actually give some fresh life to all the Win XP users who are still tied to it somehow.

kde4 will be everywhere, even win7 will be a rip off it lol :o
