how can i boot a ubuntu iso file in my hard disk without having to install or through live cd...

this is actually not really a problem if I have install the ubuntu, where I can edit the grub to boot the casper in the iso file. But how to boot the iso in windows xp pc .

And how to make the casper persistent on my pc hard disk (not install). I've already have a flashdrive that can boot up ubuntu hardy. It's ok. but when try to do it on my harddisk. It fail to boot. Is this regards to the different partition style between flashdrive & harddisk.

You can use QEMU to do this from XP.
