I was wondering how can i edit the gnome start menu...

You see, i click on start and i see all the typical fields like:
* Accesories
* Games
* Graphics
.... etc etc..

But i also see a field that says "other" and inside has a program that
i installed with wine a long time ago and now its even uninstalled
but its there!... and i want to get rid of it from the start menu.

I remember this could be edited from a text file somewhere... where the ingo about the start menu fields is stored. but i dont remember exactly where was it...

any ideas?

Try right clicking on your menu and selecting "Edit Menus"
Find the menu you wish to change and left click on it.
Each item listed on the right can be unchecked - as to not show up in the menu or right click on the item and delete to remove from menu....

Hope this helps....

The edit menu has been around from at least fiesty, as thats when I started using Ubuntu.
But I just assumed everyone knew about it.... Tells you how bright I am. :lolflag:
Hope you continue enjoying the tux ride - I sure am.):P
