Is there anything developed that comes even close to what MS includes with Vista or close to 3rd party like Dragon Naturally Speaking available for Ubuntu Linux? One of the reasons I chose Linux over Windows was because they claimed superior accessibility for people with disabilities. and was very disappointed to find out there is nothing built-in or available for voice recoognition. I'm a quadriplegic with very limited use of one hand. I need top-of-the-line speech recognition that will totally command and control the computer os and software competently. Can anyone help?:) Should I just go back to windows?

Keep an eye on this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=168711). It has been possible to get Dragon to work on WINE.

Thanks for the info Sef. I'll watch the thread.:)
Do you know if running wine or virtual boxes with Windows programs use up a lot of system resources? I know Dragon uses a lot on its own running natively.
