kde4 window decorations installation

It looks like kde4 still has the same ways of installing themes and decorations. Am I right in this? I found the way you had to install window decorations really annoying (compiling it). Maybe this has changed but have failed to notice it.

KDE has plans for making stuff like this really easy through Kgethotnewstuff. Unfortunately the kde4 version doesnt' seem to be ready yet and a lot of apps aren't using it. Expect this situation to improve as kde4 matures. I think the basics should be in by 4.1.
