Hi,
I tried to update my laptop's linux from 7.10 to 8.04.
After some error messages during the install process, it lastly rebooted but could not start correctly.
In booting manager there were two kernel versions:
- 2.6.24-17
- 2.6.22.14
in 2.6.24-17 there is not responce or some times there is something like changing colors in monitor and it can't work properly.
2.6.22.14 kernel worked properly but after a few reboots and power-shutdowns.. it doesn't work too.
I don't know if it is a graphics card problem or smth else but I couldn't use dpkg with -configure -a, -reconfigure -a or smth similar.
Any Idea?
Laptop: Acer Aspire 5100
CPU : AMD Turion 64 x2
Graphics: Ati Randeon Xpress 1100
