That is just a compiler warning. There seems to have been a bit of sloppy programming, but the program will probably work OK. Did you try it?

What I mean is, did you try and execute the program? It looks to me like it compiled and installed correctly.

heh, you just either don't have the file oldcrap.rar in your home folder or its permission is wrong

try this:

ls oldcrap.rar -lh

if it says ls: oldcrap.rar: No such file or directory, it means you don't have the file in your home directory. if so, copy/move it from where it is into your home directory.

if its there, it means the permission is wrong. in this case, try

chmod +rw oldcrap.rar

then try

rarcrack oldcrap.rar [12] [rar]

again.

btw, if you use AES on rar, it may be impossible to crack with a desktop computer in reasonable time!

seems like it just isn't in his home folder

i too am having a little trouble . . .

see i have a RAR with a script i wrote, and i know the password is 4 digits, only numbers and starts with " 1 " . . .

but when i run rarcrack on it, it continues trying to crack after it should have found it....

i checked the filename.rar.xml and this is what i get

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<rarcrack>
<abc>0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMN OPQRSTUVWXYZ</abc>
<current>5Voc</current>
<good_password/>
</rarcrack>

obviosuly it's past the right password which would be 1***
and it didn't give me the password

what to do?

RarCrack! 0.2 by David Zoltan Kedves (kedazo@gmail.com)

ERROR: The specified file ([rar]) is not exists or

try the following:

rarcrack --12 --rar oldcrap.rar

for some reason that obscures me, that seems to be working for me.
