kde4 start menu shortcut

Could someone please tell me the global keyboard shortcut for initiating the start menu in kde4?

There isn't one. It's rather complicated, but it basically involves the devs not wanting to restrict the Win key to being just a key by itself, preferring to allow it to be used as a modifier. If you do a bit of searching through these forums, there are some threads about the same issue; I participated in one a few weeks back, so I know it's here somewhere.
