Ubuntu 8.04 following adding additional software (samba & networking related) I noticed the led for the hard drives flashing continuously.
This starts before the login screen and is continuous. It stops after leaving the gui at shut down. If I access files the led is on solid, but then goes back to flashing.
How does one identify the cause to fix this?
