64 bit 8.04 live CD --> blank screen

Hello,
I have 32 bit 8.04 already installed on my new machine ( core 2 quad, Asus rampage, Nvidia 9600). So was trying install the 64 bit version via the live CD no matter what I select from the CD's option, it takes me to a blank screen. Have tried noapic nolapic nosplash single etc without any improvement.

If somebody can help!!! appreciate it

Are your proccesor supporting the 64bit installations ?

Yeah !!. I use core 2 quad. It does support 64 bit
