I just upgraded (ha) from a nicely working 7.x to 8.04. There were lots of errors during the install of the upgrade. I just pushed on thru. It did boot into 8.04 and things looked ok. I have a dual boot config with vista which continues to work. The boot screen now has 2 different settings for 8, one that says kernel 2.6.24-16 and one that says 2.6.22-14. The .24-16 lost my display driver and I can hardly do anything. Won't open system menu at all.
The 22-14 looks the same. When I try to open system preferences nothing happens or else it is opening on a part of the screen that I can no longer see. Resolution is down to 800x600 and it wont scroll. Can I start over with 8.04. How would I do that? I don't want to make the whole system unbootable as I need to use my vista partition. HELP! :(

If you have separate home partition do fresh install of Hardy. If you donīt have it follow this (http://psychocats.s465.sureserver.com/ubuntu/separatehome) guide.
