Latex doesn't work

hello,
I recently upgraded to Ubuntu Hardy and Latex doesn't work it shows me this message

"Convert cmd failed, attempted to run
/usr/bin/imake -density 120x120 -trim /tmp/pidgin-latex--1662896926.dvi /tmp/pidgin-latex--1662896926.png
but command line returned with error:
/usr/bin/imake: No such file or directory
/usr/bin/imake: No description file.
Stop."

my pidgin version is 2.4.1
what do I need to do to make it work?

It seems that the imake program is not installed. Check that, and if it isn't installed, well, install it ;)
