Hiya.
The missus has a Dell 1525 Ubuntu laptop that came with Gutsy pre-installed. It had been fine, but for some reason it's recently taken to logging into a blank desktop. I don't understand why this should be, as she's done nothing especially exciting with it to warrant the problem. If she logs off with ctrl/alt/backspace and reboots, it usually comes back on fine, but it's a pain and she's getting fed up. I can't say what the problem is, and I've no idea how to fix it.
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone here had tried installing the new Mandriva onto one of these laptops, and what your experiences have been. Is it easy enough to do, or will there be a lot of configuring?
