ok, so i installed ubuntu, and run it.
The first run wizard juz freezes for like 15 mins now.
i selected my time zone and caught a glimpse of partman something and den it freezes.
i dont know wad to do now, can i cancel the wizard and rerun it later. or anything else?


p/s it's been 1 hour now, and it still freezes. Can i juz cancel the wizard and rerun it next time, any1 plz tell me. c'mon

It's safe to cancel the installation. The wizard did no do any changes to your hard drive up until now.

I'd recommend rebooting first.


edit: sorry, just read the other thread. Please try to keep all install-related issues to this one here.

So, did you notice anything unusual in gparted?
You can post a screenshot of that window ([Alt]+[Print]) if you like.

i tried reboot and the wizard rerun, same problem, this time i wrote down the error mssg : Partman failed with exit code: 10. Further information can be found in /var/log/syslog

I'm sorry, I don't have enough knowledge about this.

This seems like a bug to me, you should consider filing a bugreport at http://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu about this. The guys there should be able to tell you how to work around this as well.
