Hi,
I'm struggling hard to install Gutsy in double boot with XP on this machine.
First, the live CD would not start without the option "acpi=off", which I chose.
Then, no way to resize the Windows partition. I only could achieve this with Partition Magic. I freed 10 Gb for testing Gutsy.
During install, I got a warning that "the cluster size was not the one that Windows liked". I could but ignore it. Then the install seemed to complete.
But on rebooting, while Grub gave me the choice between XP and Gutsy, the latter would not start: I got a black screen with a blinking cursor, and all I could do was to power off.
However, XP starts fine...
What should I try? TIA for any advice - Daniel
