Hey all.

Ive installed Kubuntu Remix , the one that comes with KDE4.

After a successful installation , I installed and enabled the nVidia restricted driver.

The problem is that I cant get any resolution higher than 640x480 , KDE settings , nvidia-settings or w/e , all of them show 640x480 as the highest resolution available.

I tried editing the xorg.conf , but nothing helped.

My monitor is Proview HD-572

Geforce 7600GT

What should I do ?

Thanks.

Can you post the contents of /etc/X11/xorg.conf for us :)

thats odd. have you restarted the machine? when i first installed hardy, it only had 640x480, and i simply installed the graphix driver and restarted and it defaulted at 1440x900

When you go into your display settings, there are tabs for you to set both your video card and monitor. Make sure they're both right. My sister had a similar problem until I noticed that.
