Hi All,
when installing MySQL (not included in Gusty) for some reason I felt the need to install mysql-connector-odbc
This was downloaded but failed to install correctly.
Now, whenever I use dkpg (with any of the options), symaptic, dselect or whatever they all fail with a message that the mysql-connector-odbc package cannot be found (there isn't one as far as I know), or that mysql-connector-odbc is danaged and the install/update (of any other packages as well) cannot proceed until it has been reinstalled and configured.
I've been down this road before and finished up with a corrupt OS.
Is there any way to get rid of this package/program with some other tool - none of the usual suspects work. I can't do anything until it is gone!
Thanks in advance.
Richard
